1. Open https://mapsplatform.google.com/ and click Get Started.
2. Click Select a project to open up the project list.
3. Click New Project to create a new project.
4. Project Name: Enter the desired project name.
5. Location: Select the organization that this project belongs to.
6. Click Create.
7. Select APIs & Services.
8. Click Enabled APis & Services.
9. Click this button to add a new API.
10. Search for Maps JavaScript API and click it.
11. Click Enable to enable the Maps JavaScript API.
Notes for numbers 12-20: You will be asked to enter your billing information prior to being able to continue and use the API. If you have setup the billing information, you will see: A. Select the billing account. B. Click this button to continue. The button background color will be changed to blue and clickable once you select the billing account. |
12. Select the country.
13. Terms Of Service: Check this checkbox to agree to the Terms Of Service.
14. Click Continue.
15. Account Type: Select the account type.

16: Business Name: Enter your business name.
17. Select this if you want to use a credit or debit card.
18. Select this if you want to use a bank account.
19. Click this button to start the trial.
20. Click this button to copy the API key to clipboard.
21. Check this checkbox to enable all Google Maps APis.
22. Check this checkbox to create budget alerts.
23. Click this button to go back to dashboard.
24. Select restriction type: Select HTTP referrers (web sites).
25. Enter your website here.
26. Finally click Restrict Key.
